Divine G, incarcerated in Sing Sing for a crime he didn't commit, finds meaning in life by acting in a theater group with other inmates in this story of resilience, humanity and the transformative power of art. At the beginning of the film, the actors are auditioning for different roles in the play. The group is criticized for not doing comedy, even though their previous show was A Midsummer Night's Dream, which is a comedy.

The cast was exceptional

Colman Domingo is amazing

The filmography is unique and really sets the tone. The plot was well developed and well paced. The movie moved me a lot.

Definitely worth watching on the big screen

The film is based on the true story of the Reformed Through Art theater program in Sing Sing. Many of the characters are played by former members of the program. The emotional range of the characters in this film is extremely captivating.

Simply profoundly beautiful
